Information
Our SmartKidsPlanet initiative began in 2017 when 3 geeky and dedicated parents saw a gap in the children’s toys and games market. An opportunity was spotted while we struggled to find toys and games for our kids which enriched their minds and guided them toward science, art, math and construction. The trio then knew that their paths were set, establishing an online shop with a comprehensive range of intelligent toys for babies, children and young teenagers.

This set of Magna-Tiles was purchased as a Christmas gift for my granddaughter who is approaching 3.
They are recommended for 3 year olds and up. She is putting things together and will enjoy them now.
I previously taught preschool and this was a must have for my classroom. Children enjoy constructing with the different shapes and colors. It offers them the opportunity to develop a wide range of skills: ability to build two and three dimensional creations, shape recognition, patterning skills, sorting and stacking, symmetry,eye-hand coordination and creativity among other things.
This sells at $100 in the US. If you consider the import cost it would work out to within 9k inr.I picked it up during a sale at 30% off at 6159 (and additional Cashback made it effectively 5200).I feel it's worth the cost at 5200. The box had mrp printed as 8799.So please don't pay more. But I definitely wudnt pay full price for the same.Have a look at US for detailed reviews.Yes they do get scratched. But seems sturdy. (Would edit review after toy gets used more).A yr has gone by and it's still used very often by my 4 year old. An open ended toy. Although he generally builds houses / road / bridges / towers to use with his hot wheels , makes all shapes - 2d and 3d.
The one gift my kids received for Christmas that they play with almost everyday. Sometimes we play with them without the kids. Nothing compares to the original Magna-Tiles in terms of quality. We also bought a smaller set of the Magnetic Stick N Stack for variety (doors/windows/etc) and while they work fine together, the Magna-Tiles are far superior. The biggest difference I notice is the weight of each tile. Magna-Tiles are heavier, sturdier and have a stronger magnet but my kids love them all just the same. I've had pieces of the Stick and Stack crack though because they're not as solid and at that point you have to throw them away for safety so If you're thinking about the Magna-Tiles vs the Picasso's vs the Stick and Stacks etc., I would say make the Magna-Tiles your base product and then add variety with the cheaper brands since Magna-Tiles doesn't have a lot of the interesting pieces you'll find with other brands.
It is a fantastic product which is both entertaining and educational for my four year old son. It teaches him both logical reasoning and motor skills. Excellent quality.
I love these tiles and ordered a set of 100 last year. The kids love them so much (2 to 12 yrs) that I decided to get a second set. Just paid $110 delivered from Module R. This company wants almost twice that much for the same tiles.Normally I don't downgrade an item for the cost but if I had given the product five stars, the alert would have been lost.Check the manufacturer's website for other alternatives to purchase.Addendum: The price has come down since I first posted this review. Although it might seem high, you'll find the durability, educational value, and fun for all ages make it worth the investment. I'm going to order another set for the fifth grandchild.
