Highlights
The Theme Park STEM Manager puts you in the shoes of a theme park manager‰۪s shoes, namely for the construction of its brand-new roller-coaster project! Kids love roller-coasters, which is why they will adore being given the opportunity to construct their very own one. There are over forty challenges in this set, from very easy, to incredibly challenging. Only the most dedicated roller-coaster STEM builder can pull this one off.
Information
Our SmartKidsPlanet initiative began in 2017 when 3 geeky and dedicated parents saw a gap in the children’s toys and games market. An opportunity was spotted while we struggled to find toys and games for our kids which enriched their minds and guided them toward science, art, math and construction. The trio then knew that their paths were set, establishing an online shop with a comprehensive range of intelligent toys for babies, children and young teenagers.
With offices based in California, our SmartKidsPlanet team enjoys a daily growth in our presence within the children’s educational toys market. We love our new place in life, and we love helping young minds with their growth and skill development, all while having as much fun as possible.
My 5 year old loves to build and figure things out. She is very hands on, and enjoys a challenge that will make her think, but is also fun. We received this as part of the monthly STEM package through . The first few items were great for a single use or so, but left a lot to be desired. We just used the Coaster Challenge for the first time today and my daughter was thrilled, she continuously asked for more cards to try and complete, and did not want to stop using this set! The big question will be if she comes back and requests it again later, but so far I am VERY pleased and so is she. For her, I think it's a great difficulty level, but she really enjoys math and problem solving. Rather than just letting her randomly guess which pieces solve the problem, I challenger her to think out which pieces she has, and the spaces that she needs to connect. Also, when figuring out the gaps you need to connect, there is simple math involved, which is helpful to reinforce what she's currently learning in Kindergarten.
My 4 year old loves it
My 6-year-old got this for Christmas yesterday, and it is right up his alley. The Easy level is just the right amount of challenge for him and I love that it will grow with him with the inclusion of harder levels. He likes me to see each coaster once it's complete.
It's great to see three-dimensional options for board games, so kids can develop hand-eye coordination, as well as spatial reality and physics skills! It takes a second to explain some of the workings of the game, but after that, it's a lot of fun to build and then execute a plan for a roller coaster! Kids on the younger end of the spectrum can enjoy a bit of solo play, too!
My 8yo son received this as part of the STEM subscription and he loves! It۪s been really great for his problem-solving skills and also for an engineering mindset. Highly recommend!
