Highlights
The Learn to Tie Your Laces! game is a fun and educational way for kids to get to grips with one of the most important lessons a kids can learn: tying your shoelaces. Kids can get to grips with the shoe model quickly as they, with a bit of help from parents, learn how to correctly and securely tie their laces. When kids manage to correctly tie their laces for the first time, they will be on their way to independence!

Our SmartKidsPlanet initiative began in 2017 when 3 geeky and dedicated parents saw a gap in the children’s toys and games market. An opportunity was spotted while we struggled to find toys and games for our kids which enriched their minds and guided them toward science, art, math and construction. The trio then knew that their paths were set, establishing an online shop with a comprehensive range of intelligent toys for babies, children and young teenagers.
With offices based in California, our SmartKidsPlanet team enjoys a daily growth in our presence within the children’s educational toys market. We love our new place in life, and we love helping young minds with their growth and skill development, all while having as much fun as possible.

Very solid shoe. My daughter takes it everywhere. We purchased as a replacement to my husbands shoe that she would play with for hours (shes 18 months and into lacing). The drawback is that shell sling it around and in that case it becomes a bit of a hazard to her legs, dogs, breakables, etc...
One trick I got from an online site is to lace it up, then tie it the traditional way. When you get to the part where the lace needs to travel through the hole next to the loop, tie a knot there. It ques the kids and helps them tie tighter from the start. Another suggestion is to always make sure the shoe points away from the student, as their shoe does. When they get this right, they can turn around and practice how it would be to help others. I use this for K-2nd grade special education students. Works great!
This is a cute and attractive tool to use in occupational therapy when teaching children shoe tying. I have always loved Melissa & Doug products, from toys to puzzles. They are very popular within the occupational therapy community, during intervention with adults and children. Children can easily manipulate and grip the laces. Adults are always complimenting the modern/retro style of the shoe, making it appealing for all ages. Thanks for such a great, cute, and inexpensive product! It is just what I was expecting!
My 5-year old granddaughter struggled to learn this skill, but having the lacing shoe made it so much easier. It still took her a little while to master it but when she got frustrated she could just put it to one side and pick it up later and start again. The look on her face when she finally mastered it was priceless! An excellent learning tool.
My 5 year old daughter is able to tie her shoe on her own. It took a couple days and she got the hang of it thank goodness.
