Puzzle Pieces Sorting Trays

Absolute game changer! Really wish I had bought these sooner. Perfect for large puzzles with lots of colors needing to be sorted. I used to do my puzzles on the dining room table where I could really spread out with plenty of room but lately I've been doing them on our coffee table in the media room while my hubs plays a video game and our boxers play with their chew toys.

I actually did not know that puzzle sorters existed. I first went shopping for little plastic boxes, but couldnt find anything for a reasonable price. I had my husband get a piece Masonite for me to use to build my puzzles on so I can move them to another room. (I learned later there are mats!). I was using various boxes, all different sizes to sort the puzzle pieces, and they did not work well for moving to a different room. So I saw this product and decided to try it. These are very sturdy plastic.

I was worried this might be a frivolous expenditure but they turned out to be a worthy investment. The trays are the perfect size for easy sorting and they are shallow so it's easier to see all the pieces. The attached pictures demonstrate a 1 piece puzzle sorted by color.

To be honest, I didn't know if I would use this. (I tend to pull directly from the box/bag the puzzle comes in and don't like being too organized about my process. Nothing fancy about them. What you see is what you get. But being able to stack them, fit them together on a board, etc. is great.

These trays are great for sorting colors to lessen the search time with 1000 puzzle pieces just laying on the table! I was at a friends home that was using these trays and I immediately went on and bought two - one for me and one for another puzzle loving friend. She loved them!!!
