My two and a half year old grandson loves anything he can build something with and then can use his toy tool set to fix. This is perfect for both. He has always been curious about how things work. He likes to put things together and then take them apart. This toy certainly spurs his imagination.

My son who is 4 seemed to like these! He loves blocks and mind activies so I thought these would be great. They are a preschool recommended toy and great for occupational therapy. Some pieces were hard to get together and apart, and ne needed my assistance for those. However, I feel that is a good toy and allows a child to be creative.

My nephew LOVED playing with this. He loves wheels so this was the perfect item for him. He knew exactly how to snap the pieces together right out of the box and he is only 2.5 years old. Some times I had to help him press down but he knew how to snap them in himself. We built ours UP and it was a blast. I recommend an expansion pack as this set only comes with four small pieces for the foundation. He wanted to spread them all out. Ordering him an expansion pack. Excited.

And so did her dad!! Once she got the hang of it, putting together was easy enough. She seemed fascinated with fitting them together, removing one, repeat. I try to only buy toys that need imagination and a little hand/mind work. Will have to see how her interest holds up over time. The single crank seemed a little flimsy and harder to snap in. Hope it holds up to a 4 y.o. trying to fit it on. Actually would be nice to have a 2nd one.

Our, then, 18 month old son found himself magnetically pulled towards this set at a local museum's discovery area. We got his his own set at 2/21 months of age, and for MONTHS now, he's playing with them almost daily. We've had this product for about 5 months now, and both my husband and I consider this set to be one of the best toys we've bought for him.
