Volcanic Science MechaMountain

We used this today and it was a lot of fun. It works like a standard homemade volcano, but with the added excitement for the kids, that once the pod dissolves it has a small little creature inside. My son had a lot of fun watching the volcano erupt and seeing the pod dissolve until his toy was revealed.

Bought this for my 5 yr old son for his birthday. He’s really into volcanoes so this was the perfect gift. The overall explosion of the ball that came with it wasn’t incredible(it just kind of slowly oozed out) but my son loved it and loved finding a toy at the end. We plan to reuse it to make our own home experiments. Overall, for the price and us being able to reuse it, makes it a great gift and my son loved it.

We got this for our five year old for Christmas, he asked Santa for a volcano. So I naturally looked at Learning Resources first. I have used Learning Resources since my son was 6 months old. I absolutely love their products. I remembered seeing this volcano set and thinking that is going to be messy. So the day after Christmas my son was in his scientist mode. He brought this to me and we got to work. It was so much fun. I recommend putting a deep baking pan underneath it. It gets everywhere quick. My little one absolutely loved the surprise creatures. He loved finding the ones he got and was excited to catalog them with all their different characteristics. We can't wait to try some of the other experiment ideas they sent with the volcano. Can't wait to see what kind out textures we get. This was a huge success for my little scientist.

My 4 & 5 year olds loved this product. They loved discovering which Beaker Creature they received and the additional experiments included in the instructions. It was also an easy cleanup- not something I can usually say about science experiments! I would definitely recommend this to others.

My son wants to be a scientist when he grows up. This was such an awesome experience for him. The kit is nice coming with almost everything you need. Some small tongs to extract the Beaker Creature would’ve been nice, although we had some here that he used instead. It’s nice that it comes with other experiments as there’s only 1 Beaker Creature pod. All the other experiments are done with household ingredients that you probably already have! The first time we did an experiment we didn’t put anything under the volcano, it wasn’t a crazy mess but a mess nonetheless. The second experiment we put a cookie sheet under the volcano (which I think it says in the instructions to do anyways!) and then there was no mess at all. Lots of smiles and fun in this kit.
