Highlights
The Gembox Shape Pushers is a classic game for toddlers that has been crafted with beautiful wooden panels and colorful geometric 3D shapes. Children can begin developing their shape recognition and logic as they push their little heads to match the geometric shapes with their corresponding holes. Toddlers will be amazed with themselves when they successfully insert the right blocks. It might not seem like much of an achievement to taller folks, but for a kid it is thrilling.
Information
Our SmartKidsPlanet initiative began in 2017 when 3 geeky and dedicated parents saw a gap in the children’s toys and games market. An opportunity was spotted while we struggled to find toys and games for our kids which enriched their minds and guided them toward science, art, math and construction. The trio then knew that their paths were set, establishing an online shop with a comprehensive range of intelligent toys for babies, children and young teenagers.
With offices based in California, our SmartKidsPlanet team enjoys a daily growth in our presence within the children’s educational toys market. We love our new place in life, and we love helping young minds with their growth and skill development, all while having as much fun as possible.
I got this as a gift for a two year old's birthday! He had fun playing with it. It comes with some educational ideas, as well. Sort the shapes by color, count the shapes, stack the shapes into a tower. The fact that the shapes are different colors makes the activity more rich in education for a little one. There is also a list of all the shapes names for adults like me who doesn't know all of them, lol!
I bought this for my macaw and it works just as I expected it to. Im always looking for affordable alternatives for parrot toys and this was a steal. Its a great mix of foraging and chewing. The coloring on the blocks did not rub off for me, I soaked them in water when I first received it just to be safe.
This shape box is everything you need to help on the cognitive development of your child. It is not just a practice of math skills such as shape recognition, but also problem solving skills. My son was having difficulty in the beginning to play with this shape box and find the correct fit for each shape. He didnt stress but he enjoyed the fact that he could try each spot. He would try and try and he found the appropriate fit for all. The next time he needed just few prompts and he was getting most of them right. It is age appropriate and it keeps your child entertained. I highly recommend it.
A well built toy made to last. We purchased for our daughter to use even though she is slightly phasing out of this style toy, she loves it and despite all the wear and play the colors of the shapes have not chipped or scratched. Our kids will get tons of play with this for many years. I'd also like to add that the wood seemed a bit exposed and that scared me (splinters) but in fact it was very smooth throughout.
Our 19M old LOVES this toy! She is really into puzzles and blocks. This entertains her for a solid 15-2 minutes, at a time and for that age, we will take it! I do not think our older daughter would have liked this as a toddler. It could get frustrating if the child does not enjoy a little challenge because they have to understand that one piece comes off (that is how you get them blocks out) and that you have to turn the box to find all of the available shapes.
