This toy is really neat, and allows for all kinds of creativity. The pieces stack up compactly, which makes it great for travel. This is one of our go-to toys for taking to restaurants to keep our preschooler busy. If you're anything like me, you'll have a hard time restraining yourself from playing with them (my son often has to ask me to stop playing with his toy so he can use all the pieces).The cylindrical magnets at the edge of each piece automatically orient themselves to attach to other pieces. Every once in a while, one of the magnets gets stuck and doesn't rotate to attach securely, but so far it's resolved itself after a little more playing.The triangles and squares included in this set provide a lot of possibilities for creating different designs and 3D objects.

My 9-year-old son wanted these after playing with a set at school. Endless possibilities abound with this set. I leave it out on a shelf as even the adults in our home will grab these and start building. It's also good for those with anxiety or those looking for coping tools. You're able to tinker and get lost in what you're doing. I'm looking forward to adding to this set. High quality and very durable.

Got it as a gift, and the parents kept thanking me for getting an educational toy for their child, and said that he wouldn't put down the toy all night long

I recently bought this toy for my three year old nephew. The first time I saw this toy was a few years back when I was babysitting for two children ages 3 and 7. We has a blast playing with these blocks and came up with all sorts of games to play with them. Five years later at ages 8 and 12, we are still playing with these blocks having just as much fun as we did the first day. They are very versatile. Although expensive, I would however recommend buying more than a 30 piece box, as there is much more to do if you have more pieces.

Of the many, many items that I purchase for my three year old daughter, this is one of the gems! She really enjoys playing with these and can follow the simple instruction pictures to make complicated shapes. They are so simple to use and I can almost see the connections that are forming in her brain as she builds with them. Although this is a good starter set, I can see that I'll be purchasing more of these in the future to add on. Although I was hesitant (due to the price,and not knowing if she'd show interest in them,) The little instruction booklet adds a lot to the kit. It shows how to lay out the pattern, then fold it into the 3D shape from there. Very clever. I'm really pleased with this purchase.
