Information
Our SmartKidsPlanet initiative began in 2017 when 3 geeky and dedicated parents saw a gap in the children’s toys and games market. An opportunity was spotted while we struggled to find toys and games for our kids which enriched their minds and guided them toward science, art, math and construction. The trio then knew that their paths were set, establishing an online shop with a comprehensive range of intelligent toys for babies, children and young teenagers.
With offices based in California, our SmartKidsPlanet team enjoys a daily growth in our presence within the children’s educational toys market. We love our new place in life, and we love helping young minds with their growth and skill development, all while having as much fun as possible.
I took my time and had fun over three days building the piano. Don't be intimidated by the instructions (the manual is the size of a small town phone book..lol) the instructions are so very clear you'll have no problems. Building the keyboard action is a bit repetitive, but you'll be impressed by the details.
The detail on this model was exquisite. When you press one of the keys, it moves a hammer that strikes the "strings" in perfect imitation of a grand piano's actual action. The peddle works internally as well. The finished build looks so good we actually put it on top of our upright piano: we've never had space for a "grand" piano before this! Highly recommended.
Do note that while the keys are "playable" they don't translate into actual notes. With the app and motor you can simulate playing, much like a player piano.
I really enjoyed creating this lego kit. It's a good size and easy to ensemble as long as you follow instructions. This was my first lego creation and now I feel the need to build more!Note: music plays from your phone, not through the piano. This took 6-8 days for me to build. I spent about an hour or two each day working on it.
Picture is still in process of assembly. Such fun!!! Feel like a kid again at 34. The manual is fantastic and the feeling of accomplishment of putting together such a project is wonderful, too!
Older son loves the new "Adult" Legos. Great project.
