Shed some light on your child discovery of how solar power functions in a simple and easy way with the Solar Power Learning Set. This set of easily built solar experiments provides an engaging DIY application which any budding science and technology enthusiast can get to grips with in no time at all. With their newly constructed solar circuit, the little engineers can now power a range of gadgets, such as a calculator, radio, and cassette player!
Information
Our SmartKidsPlanet initiative began in 2017 when 3 geeky and dedicated parents saw a gap in the children’s toys and games market. An opportunity was spotted while we struggled to find toys and games for our kids which enriched their minds and guided them toward science, art, math and construction. The trio then knew that their paths were set, establishing an online shop with a comprehensive range of intelligent toys for babies, children and young teenagers.
With offices based in California, our SmartKidsPlanet team enjoys a daily growth in our presence within the children’s educational toys market. We love our new place in life, and we love helping young minds with their growth and skill development, all while having as much fun as possible.
I am really, really impressed with electric circuitry sets. They are incredible. For elementary children, a perfect activity to share with grandparents. These sets are targeted for slightly older children, but my hunch is that grandchildren and grandparents working on them together will be much more fun and much more educational.
Bought three for some young kids that I know to stimulate their intellectual development, 2 boys, 1 girl. I looked at the kit before I gave them away and it looks like a VERY GOOD product. Price and shipping service were fine.
I've purchased a series of these kits for my autistic nephew. He loves them. This one was especially perfect as he is obsessed with solar lights -- his other aunt actually buys him solar lawn lights. He'll play with these for hours -- he calls it working as in "Mom, not now, I'm working!" -- unsupervised. He's 10 yrs old now and I've been buying them for him for 2 years. I can't recommend them enough.
I originally got this because I am interested in using solar power as an emergency backup and wanted to get a feel for it, and learn more by "playing" around with this kit. The book that comes with it is very clear and easy for children to understand. My ten year old daughter fell in love with it, and has enjoyed hooking the various components to the solar panel. She even decided to use it as part of her science fair project!
I bought the set just to get the solar panel and the dc motor. I built a rig with a string drive to a 4 inch wooden pulley which drives a wooden link and pumps a rocking bar up and down. It doesn't accomplish anything but looks impressive. The panel delivers enough power to drive the motor which makes the whole rig pump away looking like a fast oil well pump. It makes an impressive demonstration of solar power at work.
