Information
Our SmartKidsPlanet initiative began in 2017 when 3 geeky and dedicated parents saw a gap in the children’s toys and games market. An opportunity was spotted while we struggled to find toys and games for our kids which enriched their minds and guided them toward science, art, math and construction. The trio then knew that their paths were set, establishing an online shop with a comprehensive range of intelligent toys for babies, children and young teenagers.
With offices based in California, our SmartKidsPlanet team enjoys a daily growth in our presence within the children’s educational toys market. We love our new place in life, and we love helping young minds with their growth and skill development, all while having as much fun as possible.
When the box arrived my son was already jumping all over with excitement. We ordered this product on May14th and it arrived on May20th (delayed 1 day). I wasn't too sure about the quality because I've gotten some "cheap" items from Discovery in the past. So far after the kids played with it for a couple hours, it's held up nicely. The lights are bright but the pictures on the slide disc are a bit blurry. I didn't expect HD quality but this is a bit off putting. The projector has a star feature that shines tiny blue dots when turned on and honestly, that's my favorite part. You'll need 3 AA batteries and a phillip's head screw driver. Other than that, there's no assembly. I have some pretty high hopes for tonight when we try it out. For now, the closet fort I built fits the bill and they haven't been fighting so far lol
This is exactly what my grandson wanted for Christmas! I have opened the box and put the batteries in to make sure it works and it does. Its great and he will love it. I read the reviews and watched the video (helpful) before I bought it, so I knew what to expect. My grandson is 5 years old and he loves everything about space and the planets. I also bought 3 books to go with this gift. I can hardly wait for Christmas morning!!
This projector is awesome! I love it! I bought it for my 3 year old for his birthday. I looked into many others even ones that were double to triple the price, but this one comes with 4 different discs with 8 slides each and so I liked it for that reason. Also, the orange stand moves around and can rotate 360 degrees which makes it perfect for a little kid since they cant break it. One side of the projector has stars that rotate (cute) and the other has the pictures that you can turn and view all the slides. My 3 year old can put them in by himself and turn them and he has a great time playing with it. The projections are so clear (when you use the focusing ring) and the pictures are up to date with the most recent photographs. One slide has all the planets (mercury venus, earth, mars, jupiter, saturn, uranus, neptune), one has rockets and other space craft (astronaut, space shuttle, satellite, rocket, space station, total eclipse, etc) one has galaxies and stars (spiral galaxy, milky way, & I know for sure I can identify 3 of jupiters moons: io, europa, and callisto, & there are 2 slides that I'm not sure on, I think its pluto, and eris, but I'm not 100%. The last slide (nebula, neubla, nebula, spiral galaxy, moon, sun, stars, & barred galaxy) We have used it all over the house, projecting it in the bathroom wall, his bedroom ceiling and also in his little rocket ship we made out of a giant carboard box. It works great and is child friendly, & my son loves it. What more can you ask for?
I have two children. One's two and a half and one's five, and the toy works for both of them. They love it. It's simple. Portable. But they have fun passing around images of the planets. They also have the option of leaving the stars on and after a few minutes, it turns itself off, perfect for bedtime.
My 3 years old nephew loves this. He is all into the solar system and planets so this is a perfect gift.
