This set is fantastic for little ones. My daughter is 5 years old and loves using the toy power drill to put the bolts in to secure the truck parts into place. The drill secures the bolt and also works in reverse to release the bolt. This is my daughters favorite part about the toy. She feels like she is fixing things just like Daddy and Mommy do around the house. The toy is well made and I love that the box it came in can be used to play with, too. One side of the box looks like a shop and the other side looks like the street where the recycling truck would pick up the recyclables in front of a house. Super cute and I will be purchasing more from this collection. I have my eyes on the flower drill set.
This toy was great! I loved that it got my 4-year old princess loving daughter to love working with tools and a drill. She had a great time screwing the pieces and playing with the truck. I loved that she was able to create stories with the truck and person in the set and also practice drilling. I’m always looking for toys that are gender neutral and this really allows her to not be defined by princess toys, but play with all different types of toys. She kept trying to find trash to put in the dump truck and had me call her for a trash pickup.
Like most families, we are staying home due to COVID-19 and avoiding going out for our health and safety. It’s been tough trying to work from home and take care of our children. Our 4-year-old has A LOT of energy and has a tendency to get bored very easily. We ordered the Design & Drill Bolt Buddies Pick-it-Up Truck and it arrived just in time as we were running out of ideas for our child. She immediately took interest as she looked at the box and was excited to open it up. As soon as we took it out and put batteries inside the drill, she was going at it with the bolts and drilling them into the truck. It took a few tries for her to understand how to use the drill (drilling in vs. drilling out), but she figured it out and her face lit up as she succeeded in constructing and engineering parts of the truck. This is a great educational toy to practice fine motor skills! Our 2-year-old was also very interested as she watched her older sister design and build the parts of the truck. They both love the drill and have even used it to “fix” other things around the house. As a parent, I love that this toy incorporates play, teamwork, fine motor skills, and STEM. It’s teaching our children how to use a life-like, kid-safe toy drill to design and build using their imagination. We also love the eco-friendly packaging so that it can be used as part of the play! There was no waste, which is something we find very important to teach our kids. And it’s also perfect because the truck is designed to be a recycling truck.Overall, we are very satisfied and glad we came across this unique educational toy! Two thumbs up!
A wonderful Christmas gift for my great Grandbaby. He has had so much fun playing with this and he does not want to leave to go anywhere. He wants to keep taking this apart and putting it together. For his birthday - I am getting another one of these types of toys. I recommend this - a very nice toy.
Must have for a little boy!
