3D Kitty Puzzle

End result was really beautiful. The instructions were a nightmare to follow even for an adult. There are no words and the folding gets really strange. I had to watch a youtube tutorial to finish the cat and it took me about 1.5 hours. I was going to put it in my daughter's room as a nightlight but since I had to do all the work and it took my so long it's staying in my office and is mine now! I love that the fairy lights inside are red they diffuse really well with the purple and pink plastic pieces.

Granddaughter had a fun playing with this. It was something different for her and she enjoyed it.

I ordered this for my 8 (almost 9) year old son hoping it would be a good independent craft for him. He was really excited at first and started popping out all the many pieces on his own. That part was easy enough though he lost momentum around the third sheet of pieces (there are A LOT!) and I had to finish it.Then came the actual assembly. The directions are... okay? Kind of like origami which isn't a bad thing but not really clear enough for my son to follow without help. We had a bit of a crisis trying to bend the pieces like it says to because they definitely do not want to bend and we were worried that we'd break something. And when it came to putting the parts together... so as you can see in my photo of the directions you have to insert the points of the x-shaped tabs into the slots in the square-shaped pieces and that was honestly kind of a nightmare. It was even hard for me to work the tabs in; it was impossible for my son. This very quickly went from an independent craft to a "mom can you do this for me" which is not what I was after.Maybe an older child or a pre-teen would be able to enjoy this or a family looking for a nice project to do together. But as I was looking for something to distract my son after school while I work from home during the pandemic this just created more "Mom can you do this for me??" Sorry but this was a miss for us.

This is a cute little set but I wouldn't recommend that you use it as a distraction for kids to get some 'me time.' You're going to get 1000 questions on how to do it and what to do. I let my dear friend's daughter work on this project while we were chit-chatting and it ended up being an all-hands-on-deck project for the three of us. This is definitely best for a time when you want some quality time with your child and a project to do together. The end kitty was cute and she loves it but woof it took some focus. Maybe it would have been better for a slightly older (10 year old) child vs. Ms. Brynn at 6... Cute final product so 4 stars!

I think it's a fun little puzzle and interesting but kind of challenging to piece together and the instructions weren't the biggest help. Not impossible but takes more trial and error than necessary.
