The Coding & Drawing Robot puts the “A” in STEAM, making coding relatable and fun for kids. Learn to code and get drawing with STEAM-style robotics to create visual masterpieces—if you can code it, the robot can draw it! Easy setup with QuickStart guide, step-by-step instruction cards, and FAQ’s. Simply drag and drop blocks of Code to tell the Robot how and what to draw, or for more advanced coders use the robot's additional coding applications including Remote Control, Point & Click, Blockly, Snap!, Python and JavaScript. Test your program on the online simulator, then set Artie on any sheet of paper and watch as he draws what you programmed!
Information
Our SmartKidsPlanet initiative began in 2017 when 3 geeky and dedicated parents saw a gap in the children’s toys and games market. An opportunity was spotted while we struggled to find toys and games for our kids which enriched their minds and guided them toward science, art, math and construction. The trio then knew that their paths were set, establishing an online shop with a comprehensive range of intelligent toys for babies, children and young teenagers.
With offices based in California, our SmartKidsPlanet team enjoys a daily growth in our presence within the children’s educational toys market. We love our new place in life, and we love helping young minds with their growth and skill development, all while having as much fun as possible.
Not being tech savvy myself, I played around with Artie before letting my 4th grade students at it. It was easy to use and so much fun to create original works on art and the coding was user-friendly. Once my students got their hands on it, sky was the limit and they couldn۪t wait to use it every day. The best thing about it is that the student can have a finished product to share and take home after using Artie 3000. Definitely recommend to any teacher out there.
My little brother said, "I give it 5 stars because I wanna learn coding when I grow up, I actually like it, and it's a little bit fun." I like that using Artie 3000 teaches you how to connect WiFi devices and use local sites for coding/programming. It's amazing how running the program on the computer set the robot in motion. My brother got to program by himself, run the functions, and watch Artie's drawings appear. It was very rewarding. It's a great way to use up scrap paper. This toy is very easy to set up every time. Just be prepared with a mini Phillips screwdriver and 4 AA batteries. Next time, just attach the marker, connect to Artie's WiFi, and go to local.codewithartie.com to play again.
If you don't own it buy it! So cool and my 8yo hasnt given it a break yet!!!
My daughter (middle school age) is having fun with Artie! Originally I thought it would be fun for my younger children, but she has taken to it the most. She has taken a couple of coding classes before, but nothing intense or super formal, just after school clubs. As others have mentioned, she found taping down the paper was helpful, otherwise the paper slips around as Artie moves.I like that she has something educational to keep her occupied this summer!I will update my review if any problems come up that I۪m not yet aware of.
a great learning tool for young minds . my 5 year old nephew loved it and so did his mom.
