Information
Our SmartKidsPlanet initiative began in 2017 when 3 geeky and dedicated parents saw a gap in the children’s toys and games market. An opportunity was spotted while we struggled to find toys and games for our kids which enriched their minds and guided them toward science, art, math and construction. The trio then knew that their paths were set, establishing an online shop with a comprehensive range of intelligent toys for babies, children and young teenagers.
With offices based in California, our SmartKidsPlanet team enjoys a daily growth in our presence within the children’s educational toys market. We love our new place in life, and we love helping young minds with their growth and skill development, all while having as much fun as possible.
I bought this for my daughter to help her pick up objects to develop her fine motor skills. She is only 2 months and I know that she is too young to use it for its intended purpose but she loves to use the cup/scissor tool to pick up puff balls and she loves to use the squirter in the tub.
I love the variety of tools that are perfect for toddlers and preschoolers! I do a lot of activities with my toddler and one way to increase the difficulty or to get a new wave of excitement is when I let my daughter work with one of these tools. She loves using them and she doesn't even realise that she is often working on her fine motor skills and visual perception here. I can see us using this for many years and I am so happy that I stumbled upon this product.
We purchased this for our autistic three year old to use in his sensory bean bin. It has become one of his favorite toys and is excellent practice for dexterity and problem solving.
I got this for my one year old. He can use the tweezers, pincher tongs, and dropper after two months of playing with them. The scissor tongs are too big for his hands still, but hes able to open and close them using both hands on the handles. I use them with dry noodles, dry rice, water, or wooden beads that fit perfectly inside the pincher tongs. He loves to move items from one cup or bowl to another.
My two year old son loves playing in sensory bins, and I've been eyeing this set for a while. I finally caved and bought it, and I am so glad that I did! He loves the big scooper to pick up play apples and oats in his current fall bin. He is very interested in the pipette, and so I've been researching different activities to use it with. Watercolors! Why hadn't I thought of that before!? The tweezers are fun and I can seee him concentrating when he picks up smaller objects. There are so many possibilities with this set. The plastic does seem a bit thin on some of the tools, but I don't see it breaking unless we have an accident or he gets rough. I also love the colors on them. So far, the Learning Resources brand has been 1% amazing for toddler play. I'm hooked!
