Highlights
The Incredible STEM SpiderBot is your child‰۪s introduction to robotics and engineering. It may seem like a difficult procedure for young kids to put together their very own robot, but the clarity of the instructions and overall involving nature of the construction process will keep them hooked until they finish the work. Once they complete the SpiderBot, then they can begin watching it as it goes about its business, scuttling around your dining room table or floor.
Information
Our SmartKidsPlanet initiative began in 2017 when 3 geeky and dedicated parents saw a gap in the children’s toys and games market. An opportunity was spotted while we struggled to find toys and games for our kids which enriched their minds and guided them toward science, art, math and construction. The trio then knew that their paths were set, establishing an online shop with a comprehensive range of intelligent toys for babies, children and young teenagers.
With offices based in California, our SmartKidsPlanet team enjoys a daily growth in our presence within the children’s educational toys market. We love our new place in life, and we love helping young minds with their growth and skill development, all while having as much fun as possible.
This is amazing kids learning robot. This funny robot is super easy to put together. My son, MY daughter and Daddy put together in few minutes only. You love it when your kids start jumping when the robot really start walking on the top of table.
My Autistic son and I had a blast putting this together. I did most of the work, but he helped me with some of the construction. It works pretty well. It stays on table tops that have an abrupt edge. Curved edges don't work so well. Children over 8-years-old may find the construction engaging, but the simplicity of the robot's function may bore them quickly. (The robot just travels around the table top until it hits an edge and changes direction.)
My 8-yo was able to put this together on his own, although I did have to go back and tighten the screw over the plastic cover. It works really well, my son had to follow directions (gasp), and it's definitely a nice switch from Legos. I read reviews that it doesn't do enough, but I think it is a fair price considering it's an inexpensive "STEM" toy that actually works.
The kids became frustrated with how tough the screws were to go in but we made it work. They were very pleased with the final product.
My 5 year old enjoys building machines, and he enjoyed putting this one together. It's a great value for the money. The instructions are very clear and easy to follow. He only needed help whith a couple of things. Construction took maybe 2 minutes. An older child could put it together without assistance. It will occasionally fall off the table, so it's best to play with it over carpeting. Overall it functions exactly as advertised. My son is a bit rough with toys, but so far this has held up nicely.
