Information
Our SmartKidsPlanet initiative began in 2017 when 3 geeky and dedicated parents saw a gap in the children’s toys and games market. An opportunity was spotted while we struggled to find toys and games for our kids which enriched their minds and guided them toward science, art, math and construction. The trio then knew that their paths were set, establishing an online shop with a comprehensive range of intelligent toys for babies, children and young teenagers.
With offices based in California, our SmartKidsPlanet team enjoys a daily growth in our presence within the children’s educational toys market. We love our new place in life, and we love helping young minds with their growth and skill development, all while having as much fun as possible.
I thought it wasnt going to work but when I first saw them after a few days my son was ecstatic. I was so excited and swore he was s scientist lol.
Lots of bad reviews on this, more than likely operator error. After reading the instructions, we were worried these guys were too fickle to hatch... But they did! We used distilled water that we heated to 80 before adding the eggs and kept a lamp on them for heat and light as suggested in instructions. 2 weeks later, we still have 4 babies that seem to grow every day! Super fun project and great value for the price!
Grandma bought this for the kiddos at Michaels. Our kids love it!
Listened to the instructions and our little guys hatched within 24 hours. Lots of little dudes! They grow noticeably every day and it's fun to watch them do little loop-de-loops and zip around the tank. After about a week they're almost an inch long. Only two ended up making it this big (as they outlasted or maybe ate the rest, their names are MacLeod and Ramirez, ha) but my house is cool so it's been difficult to keep the tank temp stable at 80. I ended up wrapping some cardboard in foil underneath and behind the tank. On chillier days I made a little dome of foil around it to keep the temp up.Sometimes you just need to use some attention to detail and maybe some google for tips on aquarium/terrarium pets!Did buy a lamp, bulb, and thermometer (only $0.98 on .)
We bought another brand initially from Menards and a few hatched and then immediately died. So we picked this up from Walmart and hatched half of the provided eggs in this container and half in the other container from Menards. The ones in the Menards container died within the first 24 hours. These are still thriving a week later. A crazy amount hatched in both containers too! This one came with the same basic materials needed as the first did but the directions were a lot more descriptive which helped. We bought a second one as a gift for someone else for Christmas. Fun for all ages!
