Highlights
The 3D STEM Ant Farm allows children to see what ants get up to even when everyone is watching! These are such fascinating insects, who create their own civilizations right under our feet. This strong, durable, and safe STEM ant farm will give children everything that they need to become responsible and passionate entomologists. This is one fantastic way to get children into biology and STEM. Instead of watching television, children can spend hours observing these amazing creatures.
Information
Our SmartKidsPlanet initiative began in 2017 when 3 geeky and dedicated parents saw a gap in the children’s toys and games market. An opportunity was spotted while we struggled to find toys and games for our kids which enriched their minds and guided them toward science, art, math and construction. The trio then knew that their paths were set, establishing an online shop with a comprehensive range of intelligent toys for babies, children and young teenagers.

We got this ant farm for our 4 year old son. It was very easy to set up and it’s do much fun to watch. Every day there is a new tunnel to watch the ants harvesting in. Very cool! Great design. Highly recommend.
Super awesome! Kids and ants love it! FYI sand is not included.
The most common ant farm seems to be the Uncle Milton one, along with brands that seem identical to Uncle Milton(probably just a relabel). The GeoSafari ant farm doesn't feel like the plastic will crack when filling it with sand, the Uncle Milton one you have to be very careful as you pack in the sand. Also the GeoSafari ant farm has 3 feeding holes, although not a big deal compared to just 1 feeding hole on the Uncle Milton, it makes it easier if you are trying to spread water to the whole ant farm.I probably have more experience on ant farms compared to many of you reading this. Although the GeoSafari brand is still a "kid ant farm" it is the best one in this category. Uncle Milton is horrible, please avoid. Also check out Ant Canada on youtube if you are looking into getting a more pro level ant farm.
We bought this for our son for Christmas (2022) and the ants are still alive in November 2023! They are showing no signs of slowing down at all. The case is fairly dirty at this point because of the different types of food we added. I can’t complain about the experience really because we definitely got our money’s worth, but at this point I wouldn’t mind them going to the big ant farm in the sky.One other thing…i might be crazy but I swear the ants give off signals to regular ants because we had ant problems in our house while having these and I think the farm ants sent out signals asking for help to get out of the case. I’ve seen marvels ant man so I know what’s up.Update December 2023: Ants are still alive. I never would have imagined they would still be with us a year later. The ants we received must have been the grown in a lab to be immortal.
We are very happy with this. I overfilled it (now I know!) and the ants moved the sand up to a mountain in the top where they can reach the top. The water dropper was not sealed so I put clear tape over the hole. I also think the other pusher-tool isn't good for much more than just pushing. To fish out debris, I use some hemostats. To store the tools, I took some clear tape and made some little holders on the back of the top portion similar to the straw holders on the side of a can of air to clean out your keyboard.
