World Globe Map

Eventually I'd like to buy a nicer, more detailed globe for my son, but for now he's 2 years old and the first battle is to make learning fun and easy so it's something he enjoys going back to. I figured with this inflatable ball vs. one of those globes you find in school, we could sit anywhere or lie in bed and easily hold this globe and move it around. I used it to show him where we live and pointed out where his daddy went for a business trip, where his grandparents and aunties went on their vacations, and now I'm showing him other parts of the world. Like a lot of kids, my son likes balls and different colors, so this is a winner in our house If I ask him to show me where we live for instance, he doesn't hesitate to pick it up and start looking. On the technical side, sometimes the lines on the globe don't match up and it would've been great if the U.S. showed the state lines, but otherwise, I've been fortunate that my ball doesn't have deflating issues.

had our first ball for 2 and a half years before one of our children popped it, and just got our second. it's super fun to toss around with our 2 toddlers after dinner - always makes for lots of squeals and laughter! my husband and I will kick it around sometimes too ourselves for a laugh. love that we can easily grab it anytime we need to explain a geographic situation to our 4 yo.

We got this globe as an inexpensive, tangible way to show our toddlers what the world looks like. It really did the job! The best part: it was far less expensive than most other globe options out there. A win-win to be sure. :)

Great fun for kids interested in geography. My son is 5 and he was really upset when his got stuck under the couch and wrecked. I think we had gotten it from a friend, so I was happy. We love to play kickball with it in the hallway at home, especially when winter is very long. He plays outside a lot too, but this educational and a toy, and makes our inside play more exciting, which is great! Much cheaper than buying a real globe also.

I use this globe nearly every day with my kindergartners. It is perfect because they can hold it, drop it, squeeze it, what have you and it will be just fine. I haven't had any problem with it not holding air. We use it whenever we read a book that takes place in a different country to first locate ourselves and then that country. We also used it map out a classmate who moved to Japan and when the music teacher taught us songs from France and Africa. My students also enjoy just taking the globe out during quiet reflection time and copying the names of countries and oceans onto scrap paper. It's provided lots of authentic learning experiences and at such a cheap price I would buy it over and over and over again.
