Glowing Magic Rocks

Who knew that a box of rocks and paint could be such a hit with a pre-teen? I'd read the reviews and made a leap and gosh was I glad I did. Letting creativity bloom in those quiet moments is lovely -- but have that wet rag ready to wipe up dribbles. We did not have any trouble with the paint drying like the others wrote about.

I took up rock painting, and I Love all things Glow in the dark...this is a great kit, though I wish the paint would glow a bit better.I did find the strip of paint included are better than the tubes...I would buy again.

I loved seeing her face when she started unwrapping the box and said, “I knew it was an art kit!” I was going to make up a kit with paints, canvas boards, brushes, etc. and was told by her mom that she wants a kit. So I found this one and she opened it up immediately and picked out a rock she wanted to paint like one on the cover, and there was no stopping her! I peeked inside to see the sizes of the stones because we have a man-made creek in our backyard and could pick up larger stones. Yet the package had more manageable stone sizes, especially for smaller hands and I didn’t want to ruin the kit by adding more. She was tickled to death to receive this!!! Thanks for such a great entry to another way to get kids back to looking at nature and not glued to electronics!!! That’s a plus in my book!!!

The kids adored these! I got them for a weekend trip to give my kids something to do at night once we were in the hotel room for the evening.They were easy to use and clean up. My kids ages 4 to 13 all had fun with them. I even painted one and get why it’s so great. It’s an easy, relaxing way to occupy kids with an adorable result. They are now on display on our sofa table and are a great remembrance. The glow in the dark paint included was their favorite part, they had way too much fun hiding them and turning out the lights (once they dried). I may have had to speed up the drying process with a hairdryer, you have to paint in layers....it was still very easy to do.

We supervise, more like participate, in the fun with a 4 year old who absolutely loves this activity. It’s a complete set, and is priced perfectly. Plus, we also have a lot fun looking for new rocks to paint from our landscaping.
