Highlights
Recycling and science go hand in hand, which is why the Solar-Powered Roving Machine inspires children to become dedicated to sustainable future. This is also an amazing introduction to robotics, where children can construct a solar powered rover that will amaze and excite them. Learning how solar power works, along with basic robotics, is key to fostering a fascination with sustainable energy. This is the best automobile-like car which a child can be gifted with.
Information
Our SmartKidsPlanet initiative began in 2017 when 3 geeky and dedicated parents saw a gap in the children’s toys and games market. An opportunity was spotted while we struggled to find toys and games for our kids which enriched their minds and guided them toward science, art, math and construction. The trio then knew that their paths were set, establishing an online shop with a comprehensive range of intelligent toys for babies, children and young teenagers.
With offices based in California, our SmartKidsPlanet team enjoys a daily growth in our presence within the children’s educational toys market. We love our new place in life, and we love helping young minds with their growth and skill development, all while having as much fun as possible.
My grandson loved this. He and his grandpa spent wonderful bonding time building this
So this worked for me right out of the box and I had no difficulties. I built it for my engineering project in college for a goof off class but it worked. It probably doesn't work for some people because they don't put grease in the gears like the instructions say in small print. Also, the sun has to be very strong for it to work. Thankfully I live in Arizona so that's no problem. Lastly, I think the wires need to be screwed in very tightly and facing the correct way.
$M Solar Rover kit is easy to assemble and makes science and building fun. The best part is you do not have to rely on the batteries.
Cute little "robot" rover. Has to be in direct sunlight to work and drives at a leisurely pace. Very fun way to teach my kid about solar power. The build was really easy and my 8 year old was able to do about half. She covered the top in Lisa Frank stickers -- yep you can decorate it!The only part that frustrated us was that it said to put on the can and the plastic cover - or at least that's how we read it. You only attach one of the two.
Big hit with the grandson who just turned 5. They liked it so much, they purchased one as a birthday gift for a classmate. It was a nice, fun project for everyone to work and it actually worked well
