Meccano-Erector Meccanoid G15

Picked this up for my 6 yr old grandson for Christmas. He loves to see how things work and really wanted a robot - his dad put it together (unless you are blessed with a genius child, this doesn't get assembled by kids). I don't know what he likes more, playing with it or saying the name, the full name, every. time. That said, it's pretty cool and something that I don't think he'll outgrow for quite a few years.

This is awesome! My 10 year-old son built it all by himself and loves it. It takes a long time to build, but he did it slowly over a couple of days. Buyers should note that the batteries only last15 minutes. This is the only downside. Investing in rechargeable batteries is a must. We did this and after two charges you recover the cost of the charging station and can know you are saving money each time you charge them!

I bought this for my 13 year old nephew. He likes legos and such, but I wanted to get something of a higher degree of difficulty and have something unique. He was able to put this together by himself in about 8 hours. Being able to speak commands and watch the robot respond was amazing. The robot also says funny things and does funny things. It had a room full of adults laughing. This robot cost a little bit more than a set of legos but it was well worth the money. I have to admit, I wanted one of my own...

My daughter received as a Christmas gift. Once you get past the 4-6 hours of assembly - this is serious and not a joke - it is awesome. She really enjoys interacting with it an using our iPhone app to control it. Definitely worth the money and time to put it together. My only con is that after a while it sits against the wall and is forgotten about. Would be nice for more functions available to be downloaded but absolutely no complaints.

My 9 year old grandson and 8 year old grandson both wanted this for Christmas. The 9 year old loves to play by himself and build. Lego are a quick breeze. I was hoping for several days of entertainment as he built this.8 hours later he was done and busy programming it. He really enjoys this and is proud he built it with very little. One screw on the foot required his dad to help. My 8 year old grandson is working on his but is not as experienced and is doing after school. He is also very excited and now determined to get it done "just like" his cousin. Very nice for both boys. I see more of these for the other grands.
