Personal Circuit Construction Kit

A brilliant kit for introducing kids to electronics. The circuits are very easy to make and children have a lot of fun trying to put together various little projects. Since there are no wires and circuits are created using snap-on connectors, it is very easy to explain the flow of electricity to kids and then letting them use their imagination.

A gift for my 7 year old niece. She is quite the curious one and I love to spark (get it) her interest in science and other areas typically reserved for boys (why has this not completely changed yet). I don't subscribe to the idea that if we want to interest girls in science or other math related subjects that the product needs to be pink (can we PLEASE stop with that!).Elenco snaps are fun, there is a reaction to everything you do with them. I want a set!!!!

Awesome toy. So, lets get this out of the way. I know (and knew) the box says for 8 to 108 year olds. But many reviewers of the toy suggested it is suitable for younger children so I took a gamble on getting it for our 6 year old's 6th birthday. He is an inquisitive boy and he DID find it fascinating, but also frustrating. So long as we adults guide him through it he enjoyed it, but its too much for even a smart 6 year old to do on his/her own. Or at least our 6 year old who is very clever. I still don't regret getting it because I think its something he will grow into over time, but I do think the age range of 8 to 108 is accurate. But, otherwise, as an adult I see this as one of the best toys ever. Fun and educational. I look forward to when he is a little more enthusiastic about making the circuits on his own or being more involved when we do it together.

Bought this as a Christmas for my 8 year old son. This is a BRILLIANT toy that he has pulled out many times over the last year and has built new inventions. I appreciate that the toys can grow with him. As he get's smarter and understands more, he can make more complex inventions.

Bought this for my 6.5 year old son. He seemed to have an interest in electricity and how it works, so I got this for him even though the box says age 8 and up. I must say... this kit is AWESOME!He loves it so much, he wanted to do all the circuits as soon as he possibly could. We were able to do almost all of them in a few days days! (Literally spent hours playing with this. Great toy to keep him busy and learn things over the summer!). He is still not bored with it and wants to do them again!A side note - you cannot complete all the circuits listed in the book. You have to buy an expansion kit or additional pieces. This was a little frustrating but I plan on getting more of these kits anyway so no big deal for me.It comes with a book and it is super easy to understand and follow (although I have a background with electronics how circuits work).However... it does require parental supervision at all times, as there are dangerous parts (spinning fan, etc), plus the danger of incorrectly assembling circuits and causing them to short out.Overall I HIGHLY recommend this toy!
