STEM Super Green Charger

I purchased these products for my Christmas gifts this year, I have 3 nephews and 1 little girl of my own. All children are interested in science type projects and mechanics - so these went over really well. They thought they were the coolest thing. Putting together these were also relatively easy for the children and the fact that their effort resulted in an action from the project delighted them. These products were the highlight of their Christmas.

The kit is a simple screw-together project with some basic wiring connections.
One issue my son had was getting the screws tight enough with hand tools, so I tightened them up with a power driver nice and snug. Upon tightening the crank screw with the power driver, I ended up creating too much power and apparently overloaded the LED bulb.

This is a present for my Granddaughter. She is at this time on the Science side of things.
I believe this is a good way to learn a little about renewable energy and possibly helps to understand
how the energy is generated.

Well worth the buy! Quality of the pieces was good, durable plastic. The only thing was that his younger sisters dumped out the screws when no one was looking...Dad had to fiddle with it but made it work without all the screws. Definitely needs a helping hand if for a younger child but it's great to do a project with them.

I thought when I bought this that it would be harder to assemble but I was pleasantly surprised. My 8-year-old built it in an afternoon with very little help from me. The LED is sufficiently bright to be seen on the ceiling during the day, and the easy-to-follow instructions also come with explanations of different electricity facts (we both liked that!).
