We have had the camera for 3 months so far, 2 toddlers use it and love it! They drop it, play with it, treat it like any other toy and it has held up so well!
Pictures are mediocre but that doesn't matter to me or them, they get such a kick out of each photo! They set up little photo shoots with their toys and click away. There are little frames that are easy to use for the pictures that they also love to look through, keeps them excited about taking pictures!
There are a couple simple but fun puzzle games on the camera that our 3.5yr old adores also!
Have not had to change the batteries yet either.
We got a different camera for my toddlers bday but it never worked. We had trouble getting a replacement so we eventually gave up and just bought this one. Its $10 more but it works and does exactly what we expected it to do. Its a cheap camera so the pic quality isnt great, but we expected that. Its more about the joy of picture taking than the actual pics for our kid.
Have had this camera for almost a year now and it's about the only thing my toddler has tossed, kicked, dropped and everything else you can imagine but actually still works while in one piece. I was nervous about purchasing something this pricey for a toddler at first and decided what the heck and went ahead and made the purchase. Glad I did. My daughter loves taking pictures and I didn't wanting her stealing my phone to do so anymore making this the perfect gift last year. The only complaint I have although the battery life is pretty darn good for being used almost 24/7 I wish it came with a set of rechargeable batteries. Other than that this camera is tough and would make an amazing gift for even the most destructive little ones. Even comes with a few really cute games they can play on it.
Purchased this for our 3yr old grandson for Christmas. Arrived promptly and well packaged. Opened packaging to examine the camera and installed batteries so it would work when he openes it Christmas morning.
Overall I have to say this camera is well made and our 3 yr old should be able to use it after initial instruction from mommy or daddy.
You do need to purchase the memory card separately and I have not decided on getting it now, or just let his parents decide.
I know he and his brother will both like it, so I went ahead and got his brother the vtec cell phone so he will have something electronic to play with while his brother is playing with his camera. Found out about the phone from the pkg insert and glad I saw it!
I got this camera for my 5 year old for Christmas and it has been a huge hit! With very little instruction, he's figured it out almost completely on his own. It's really easy to figure out and to work. It can do photo and video, plus there are games and little filters and stickers and various ways to edit the photos themselves! Plus there's a slot for a micro SD card so you can save them if you'd like!
My son doesn't have access to a tablet or any other gaming device, so I was fine with the four little games this camera has on it. They're simple enough for a 5 year old and they're educational! He has spent most of his time taking pictures of our dog!
If you have a young child that is interested in taking pictures, I'd recommend this camera! I can't really comment on battery life at this time as we've only been using it for about a day so far, but everything else about it I'm really impressed with!
