As a person who occasionally gets spiders in their second floor apartment and likes to take them outside instead of killing them I like this tool. I had a designated spider cup and paper to catch and release my 8 legged house guests but this works better, as you don't need to figure out how to get a paper covered cup from the floor/wall, into your hands, and onto the ground without letting your arachnid prisoner escape. The smooth plastic slide cover prevents delicate legs from being squished and it slides smoothly. The long handle puts some distance between you and your quarry (helpful for someone like me, who is positively terrified of spiders). The inside of the catcher is solid with no escape holes and is large enough for a reasonably chunky spider. I will be getting a lot of use out of this, hopefully not too much.

As someone who does not like bugs, but ironically does not have the heart to kill them, this tool is a lifesaver--literally! As someone who also has a fianc̩e that is terrified of bugs and will scream and spray an entire can of Raid on anything with more than four legs, this tool doubles as something that can pick up VERY dead bugs without having to touch them. I have gifted this to friends and family, and I have one on every floor of the house (and in the garage). We get a lot of centipedes, which are the bane of my existence, so it's been super helpful to securely catch them--the old fashioned way with a cup and a piece of paper was not doable for me and I used to have to kill them (and feel guilty about it). Every insect is still a living creature and most of them eat bugs you don't want living in your house. I NEVER leave reviews, but this one is well worth a review. I read the top review before buying and was so entertained that I ordered immediately. Best purchase ever!

Awesome bug catcher. Bought this one and the one that has a similar design but is on a stick. Both work well. My advice is to get them both. Some people in your family will prefer using one, others will like the other one. Sometimes one will go missing. You۪ll be glad you have two. Or what if there are two bugs, or two kids on the hunt for the same insect intruder? They۪re both useful in their own ways. Both will do the job. Sometimes you۪d rather catch the bug from further away, so you need the stick version. Sometimes you۪re in close quarters, so this shorter one is better. Pay a few extra bucks and save yourself some trouble. Be ready for any bug who dares enter your home. Catch em and throw em back outside. Be kind to the little things.

Bislang habe ich immer beim Spinnenfang die traditionelle Methode mit dem Glas und einem Blatt Papier angewandt. Auf Dauer doch etwas nervig. Bei diesem Ger_t hat man immer eine Hand frei, was beim Klettern auf M̦belst_cke hilft, der Griff ist auch oft die notwendige Verl_ngerung des Armes, so dass man sich oft den Hocker sparen kann. Die Mechanik ist simpel aber effektiv und scheint auch haltbar zu sein. Man muss etwas aufpassen, dass man der Spinne kein Bein abklemmt. Die Innenseite scheint auch f_r die gemeine Spinne recht glatt zu sein, man die Krabbelviecher sehr leicht raussch_tteln.Die Lupe ist ein netter Gimmick, der den Spinnenfang etwas unterhaltsamer macht.Eine Anschaffung, mit der ich sehr zufrieden bin. Eine sehr gute Investition, die meine Lebensqualit_t durch den Komfortgewinn durchaus erh̦ht hat.
