These are Christmas gifts and I am pleased at how nice they appear and seem to be sturdy. Hopefully the children will enjoy these binoculars.
I got these binoculars for my nephew and I think he will love these. They are serious binoculars and not just a toy. They seem to be well constructed with reasonably good optics for the price. I don't think they will break easily. They are intended for small people (less than 14 years old) as the maximum distance between the eyes is small, but this also makes them much lighter than regular adult binoculars. (I have a large head and I can just barely see through both eye pieces at the widest setting.) These will be really good for getting the boy outside, looking at and learning about the world. The only issue I have with these binoculars is that the rubber eye-cups surrounding the eye-pieces are a little difficult to fold over to allow better viewing for children who wear eyeglasses. They do fold over to allow glasses closer to the eye-piece lenses, but they don't easily remain folded. So for children who wear glasses, one might have to fold the eye-cups several times before they remain folded. However, I doubt young children will notice this much. These are a good choice for most kids, especially for this price.
These are very nice and an impressive quality. I bought these for my nephew, age 7. He looks at the hillsides at the deer and other wildlife. Adults love them, too. They travel well in a car’s glove compartment ❤️
I initially planned to order these binoculars for one or both of my granddaughters, but they both said they already had some. We did a stint of birdwatching, virtually, as their parents asked me to help with their teaching while we are all in lock up. I bought myself a good, fairly expensive set of binoculars from Dick' s Sporting Goods last summer and have found them to be essential for the task, but they are also pretty heavy. So when I realized that these were also 8X binocs, I decided to order a pair for myself. Are they as good as my other pair? If course not, but they are ALMOST as ggod, and so much lighter! Easy to use, easy to adjust, and I can see the birds in my yard or neighborhood quite well with these. I plan to take the with me when I go for walks with my dog at the Open Space by the river. I tried using a spotting scope i have - it's also very light, but it's so much harder to find anything using just one eye / scope. These little binoculars from Thinkpeak are just fine, so light, and very sturdy. They came with a lens cleaning cloth and a nice adjustable, easy to attach strap.
I bought these for my three and a half year old grandson to substitute for my own binoculars he learned to use with me. They arrived well packaged and within only a couple days. My grandson was able to adjust both the PD and the focus just fine. There is also a diopter adjustment which my eight year-old granddaughter was able to set with adult guidance. Both kids thought the binoculars were super. I checked out the optics myself and decided they were even better than I expected! Think Peak Toys followed up on their delivery with me by email to be sure I was satisfied with the product and to ensure they would remedy any issues if needed. Happy to report there are two more budding young birders in the world.
