Highlights
The Active Solar STEM System brings the wonder of our STEM solar system straight into your bedroom. Unlike many other models of our solar system, this one is motorized, and will rotate in a realistic manner. This allows children to observe just how our solar system works in relation to space in general. Take special note of the sun model, which will glow with a built-in LED light! Learn more about our world and its home at large with the detailed 28-page guide.
Information
Our SmartKidsPlanet initiative began in 2017 when 3 geeky and dedicated parents saw a gap in the children’s toys and games market. An opportunity was spotted while we struggled to find toys and games for our kids which enriched their minds and guided them toward science, art, math and construction. The trio then knew that their paths were set, establishing an online shop with a comprehensive range of intelligent toys for babies, children and young teenagers.
With offices based in California, our SmartKidsPlanet team enjoys a daily growth in our presence within the children’s educational toys market. We love our new place in life, and we love helping young minds with their growth and skill development, all while having as much fun as possible.
This product is so cool my daughter loves it!!
Literally since Santa drooped this off my three year old has not let it go.
This is a great item. It engaged my 3 year old, my 6 year old, and my husband and I. The booklet enclosed provided great learning lessons-perfect this homeschooling mom. My 6 year old was able to assemble it with very minimal help and immediately recognized most the planets. My girls love to use it as a nightlight with the constellations on their ceiling. It has opened the door for many educational conversations.
This is a great learning tool to show kids the order general size of the planets, as well a the way they orbit the sun. Some things to note are:1. This is not to scale (shouldn't be expected, it's only a model).2. The planet clusters orbit at the same rate. All of the inner planets orbit at the same rate. All of the gas giants orbit at the same rate (slightly slower than that of the inner planets).3. The planets do not rotate! This is the one thing I wish it did.4. The constellations look pretty good in a small, dark place (we were in the pantry). It helps to keep the book handy so you can identify all of them.
My son loves this toy!
