Information
Our SmartKidsPlanet initiative began in 2017 when 3 geeky and dedicated parents saw a gap in the children’s toys and games market. An opportunity was spotted while we struggled to find toys and games for our kids which enriched their minds and guided them toward science, art, math and construction. The trio then knew that their paths were set, establishing an online shop with a comprehensive range of intelligent toys for babies, children and young teenagers.
With offices based in California, our SmartKidsPlanet team enjoys a daily growth in our presence within the children’s educational toys market. We love our new place in life, and we love helping young minds with their growth and skill development, all while having as much fun as possible.
This toy is great for helping kids isolate their tong/grasping skills, a lot of tong toys can be hard because kids have to work on their hand skills as well as precision and graded pressure in order to chase the bee/bead. This takes out that extra challenge out and allows them to be successful since the hive holds the bee still for them. I have to clean mine regularly with harsh chemical so it inevitably fading but thats typical with my puzzles and other toys. I am sure it would hold up well with typical home use.
Thought it would be a bit larger, but it's fairly small and I'd be afraid a small child could easily fit the bees in their mouths. But for an older child who needs help with fine motor skills, this would be great.
These were purchased for my sons Occupational therapy sessions. The toy holds his attention for longer than most. The tongs are perfect for training little hands while at the same time teaching colors matching. However, the bees are small enough to be a choking hazard for smaller children.
My three year old loves this! She isn۪t quite grasping the pinchers yet, but she is motivated because the bees are cute and she wants to play with them! Highly recommend
My two-year-old got this for Christmas and loved it. It is small and easy to store.
