Our SmartKidsPlanet initiative began in 2017 when 3 geeky and dedicated parents saw a gap in the children’s toys and games market. An opportunity was spotted while we struggled to find toys and games for our kids which enriched their minds and guided them toward science, art, math and construction. The trio then knew that their paths were set, establishing an online shop with a comprehensive range of intelligent toys for babies, children and young teenagers.

With offices based in California, our SmartKidsPlanet team enjoys a daily growth in our presence within the children’s educational toys market. We love our new place in life, and we love helping young minds with their growth and skill development, all while having as much fun as possible.

    Very pleased with this purchase!

My 4 year old daughter is very into science and all things STEM. We got her this pocket microscope and paired it with the Learning Resources Prepared Slides Combo Set. I'm extremely pleased with the quality, especially for the price. We didn't want to invest a lot into a microscope yet because she is still young, and this was the perfect compromise. Not a toy, but not complicated or extremely fragile. My daughter is very gentle with things, so I'm not worried about her breaking this. Whether or not it would be too fragile for another preschooler, I can't say. Overall, I highly recommend it! My husband and I think it's super cool, too!

A Mighty Giant of a "Zoom" Microscope

This little giant microscope is perfect. Takes a little getting use to. Seen this priced 2.5 times what I paid for. While it is a plastic construction, the viewing is sharp. It advertises 20x - 40x zoom. I cannot verify this, but ithas met my expectation in viewing small parts*, stamps, coins, and designs.* The device can be used in its stand, or remove to view " small 3-D surfaces."One down side, While zooming, if the view is not clear, adjusting the focus sort of cancels the zoom.Positioning and moving the scope around does require getting use to - no prisms here to "upright" the image. The greatest asset to this little device is its light. A carefully positioned LED that lights up the entire viewing area.If you are looking for a microscope, lite in weight, fits in the palm of your hand and "disposable." this is for you.For Stamp collectors, coin and paper collectors... I know of none better than this Microscope.

    Good price and fairly sturdy

Good price and fairly sturdy. I find it interesting to look at the screen of an iphone, you can easily see the RGB pixels (i.e. all white pixels are composed of 1 red/green/blue pixel)

    Fun, easy, educational

Got this based on the blurb on CoolTools. The 20-40x magnification lets you see a surprising amount of detail; more useful and interesting than I expected. LED is well-positioned, plenty bright enough, and nicer white color than the old incandescents that cheap microscopes were always saddled with.Cheap, unfussy, and very easy to use; enough so that my five-year-old has used it to examine every flat surface and textile in the house, plus hair, paper, her own fingerprints...it's been a stream of "Oh! That's amazing! Look at that!"No idea on battery life; the momentary light switch (you have to hold it on) is a little frustrating when you're trying to focus on something tricky, but on the other hand it won't be left on either.Oh! Make sure to look at a "white" pixel on your LCD or iPhone.Highly recommended. If this breaks, we'll buy another.
