One of the best toys to build. (11 year old boy review). I like this way more than Legos because it moves and doesn't take any batteries. This OWI 14 in 1 Solar Robot comes with some medium sized baggies so the pieces don't get lost. This is the best toy for ages 8-14. Buy this product.

Well written instructions and good step by step assembly visual cues.However, robot pieces come in plastic grid and you must take the time to carefully cut each piece of the set with your hands before you assemble anything.If you are not patient and focused type, this toy may not be for you. My nine year old son gladly helped snap off pieces with his hands and scissors. He loved it.Assembly ing the bed of the robot is a little tricky and requires either and adult or handy kid. Gear explanation not as visually clear as it could be.Our robot worked just fine.

Great toy/learning experiment, especially for price. FYI you need to assemble like a model you have to trim and sand the parts. Its not just pop out and play or it wont work pieces will hang up on burs. We used Xacto knife to cut out, dremel tool, sandpaper, and files to finish them. We built 3 projects with a little tweaking they work.

My children love it very much!This toy let her have the knowledge and understanding of intuitive to science, and exercise her ability.

This is an amazingly fun way to introduce robotics to your kid. I have spent several nights with my 3 year old, building up and tearing down different robots. This kit has allowed me to introduce to my son concepts such as solar energy and gears. It's also allowed me to show him how to follow directions by matching letters and numbers on the guide with the letters and numbers on the grid.The parts are not perfect, nor some of the robots. For example, several robot models are extremely sensitive and will not work if the wheels are not lined up perfectly. Not a problem, however, since this allowed my son and I an opportunity to "experiment", to discover what was wrong. Also, the water-based robots are not very good -- the plastic is not very friendly to work with. Other robots, however, work perfectly fine and are a lot of fun to watch come alive.Overall, the product is quirky, but when you consider how much it costs for what you get, it is a super bargain. It's a great way to have fun with your kid while introducing important concepts. I highly recommend it.
